WebOffice 10.9 R4 enables the user to search for objects on one specific layer or on multiple layers simultaneously. Whenever the user does a search on one specific layer then the search is performed

 

•No matter whether the layer is set to visible or not

•No matter whether the layer can be displayed in the current map scale at all (the current map scale could be outside the ArcMap layer scale range)

 

The reason for this behavior is that users who search on one specific layer want to find certain objects, no matter whether these objects get currently displayed in the map or not.
