List of supported Devices

There is the possibility for the WebOffice mobile client to link certain devices either to the tab mode (big display) or to the phone mode (small display). Therefore the devices can be defined and added to a mode in the file C:\Tomcat\webapps\<WebOfficeApplikation>\client_mobile\devicelist.txt. In fact that there are different layouts for small and big displays, this setting makes sure that the client uses the correct layout for the device. You can find an instruction on how to add certain devices directly in the text file.

Note: Certain devices are already added to the following modes in the text file by default:

Mode phone: Samsung Galaxy, Samsung Galaxy S2, LG Optimus 2X - P990 and iPhone 4

Mode tab: Apple iPad 1 + 2, Samsung Galaxy Tab P1000 (8)

First you will need an exact description of the device. This description you can find out e.g. from the file testextapplication.jsp. Call http://<SERVER>/<WebOffice-Applikation>:8080/testextapplication.jsp and open Client information. The attribute UA lists the id of the device that can be used in devicelist.txt.
