Mature |
As soon as new major release is available; no further ongoing patches/hot fixes; fixes of operation preventing and serious bugs (classification is done by the manufacturer) provided that it is not possible for the customer to upgrade to the next product version. |
Retired |
After about 12 months Mature phase; if it is an operation preventing bug (classification is done by the manufacturer) there is basically the possibility to apply for a bug fix. Fixes for retired products are always subject to a charge. |
