Insert north arrow
A double click on the inserted north arrow opens the properties dialog.

North arrow settings
Choose map |
Choose the map (feature map or current map) for which the north arrow should be displayed. The list shows all available maps inside the report template. Please note that only one scale value can be assigned per map. |
Choose style |
Choose a style for the north arrow. With this version you can choose between eight different styles. |
Preview |
The preview shows you how large the north arrow is displayed with the current settings. The red frame represents the size of the rectangle you draw, into which the north arrow will be placed. |
Size |
Choose the desired size for the north arrow. By default, the size is set to 72. Choose the size that the north arrow fits best into the red frame within the preview. If the north arrow is larger than the frame, it is cut when generating the report. ![]() Choose size correctly |
Rotation |
This option only serves as help in the preview. You cannot define a rotation for the north arrow, because the north arrow is rotated with the same angle as the map. However, since the extent of the north arrow changes with a defined rotation, you have the possibility here to get an idea of the display in advance in the preview. ![]() Representation of the north arrow at a rotation of 90 degrees |
