Step 3: Map service selection

The selection of the map service depends on the selection of the map service type (Step 2).

It is possible to integrate preconfigured Online Services as well as services published on your ArcGIS Server.

For ArcGIS Online Map Services, select an ArcGIS Server Account.

In this example an ArcGIS Server Map Service has been added.

Clicking on Add by wizard opens a form for the configuration assistant.

The ArcGIS Server Publisher Account must first be selected here.

With a click on Reload service all available (i.e. started) services are listed. Select the service from the list to be added to the project configuration (if the selected service already exists in the project, a notification will appear).

For a map service that is also to be used for searches/queries, it is important to define the layer structure. Only then can WebOffice author standalone offer layers for functions like search, edit, etc.. Activate the check box Layer mapping: Transfer layer structure (Necessary for searching, editing, etc.) to add layer and group layer references to the WebOffice 10.9 R3 project configuration.

For some map services (e.g. cached background map) layer information is not necessary. In this case the check box does not have to be activated.
