Select tools in the WebOffice html client

 

The selection tools are placed next to the navigation tools of the WebOffice html client's toolbar and comprise the following tools:

Boxselection

Select Line

Select Area

Select Circle

Clear Selection

Create Buffer

Identify

Raster Info

 

As soon as you activate one of the four selection tools (Boxselection, Select Line, Area or Circle) the spatial selection tool dialog opens where you can define the following parameters:

You can always switch between the various types of selection tools, assumed that they are configured in the WebOffice 10.9 R3 project configuration.

Selection layer
All layers of the WebOffice 10.9 R3 project configuration that are selectable/identifiable are listed in this menu.

Note: Only layers that have been configured as selectable/identifiable will be listed as selection layers. See chapter Layer Queries for details about the configuration in WebOffice author or use the wizard Define Selectable/Identifiable Layers.

Note: See chapter WebOffice Defaults for special settings like displaying only visible layers in the layer selection or if by default on all visible layers shall be selected.

Note: Provide a better overview about layers available for selection by configuring layer categories (like in the figure above). See chapter List of Layer Categories for details.

Decide whether the following selection should lead to a New Result, Add to Result or Remove from Result.

Note: This option will not be available if the selection layer is set to Visible Layers. Multiple layer selections cannot be displayed together in a Search Result, they rather will be listed in the Feature Summary.

 

Dynamic Selection

By configuration, object selections can be displayed using animated graphics like animated GIF files. Displaying dynamic selection symbols enables the user to immediately know where to find the objects searched for because the objects are marked by animated graphic images.
