WebOffice flex Client
The WebOffice flex client is optimized to answer vertical questions, is easy to use and has been developed for fast and attractive map presentation. In addition to this positioning, which also has been applied to the flash-based WebOffice flex client, there are more paradigms that apply to the flexible WebOffice flex client:
•Running without Flash plug-in – There is no need to install plug-ins to use the WebOffice flex client. It is based on ArcGIS API for JavaScript 4.x on the client-side, which is a programming interface of Esri Inc.
Note: For best performance, VertiGIS recommend the latest versions of modern, standards-based browsers like Chrome, Firefox and Edge. Only WebGL-enabled browsers are supported. VertiGIS does not recommend using Internet Explorer 11. While some aspects of the API will work with Internet Explorer 11, there are numerous limitations as here described.
•Touch first – The new graphical user interface is based on current web trends to guarantee a modern user experience and is optimized for touch-enabled devices. Due to the support of a cross-platform map handler, it is also possible to operate the client via mouse.
•Optimized for the use on large mobile devices (>= 7.9 ; resolution >= 1024 * 768px), with WebOffice 10.6 in addition provision of a GUI for smartphones.
•Use of geodata in 2D map presentation or 3D scene presentation.
The main application areas for the WebOffice flex client are presentation applications for the validation of spatial data as well as citizens GIS applications.

•Microphone control
Since WebOffice 10.8 SP1 it is possible to use the WebOffice flex Client via voice input using microphone control, as long as the browser (e.g. Google Chrome) and the end device allow this option. Starting and stopping of sound recordings can be done with the microphone button on the right side of the search form. The project configuration allows the option to enable or disable voice input (microphone control).

Notes:
•When using a reverse proxy, problems can appear in the map image display if a forward slash / is set in the code at the end of the ProxyPass and ProxyPassReverse lines. In this case please remove the slash at the end of the lines. For more details see chapter Apache Reverse Proxy.
•See chapter WebOffice flex Client for information about the flex client based on Adobe Flash.
